Nuevas tecnologías y asma
Resumen
En la actualidad, a nivel clínico, ya contamos con sistemas informáticos basados en sistemas de inteligencia artificial de apoyo al
diagnóstico y a la gestión de la información, y la telemedicina está comenzando a desafiar la necesidad de hospitales de alto nivel que
cuenten con todas las especialidades médicas o quirúrgicas. Esto permite, a su vez, tener acceso a una medicina de calidad a personas
que viven muy alejadas de centros hospitalarios, con dificultades de acceso físico o de desplazamiento, y a misiones humanitarias en
países en desarrollo o en zonas de conflicto. Estos avances han beneficiado a todas las especialidades médicas y quirúrgicas, no siendo
la neumología una excepción. En este artículo se hace una revisión de la situación actual de los nuevos avances tecnológicos y su aplicación
en la medicina, así como de las evidencias disponibles sobre su uso actual en pacientes asmáticos.
